We have taken the Finlay London collection east and opened a pop-up shop in Mare Street Market in Hackney for the entire month of May.
If you haven’t yet visited Mare Street Market, we highly recommend a trip to Hackney. Mare Street Market is London’s newest foodie and shopping destination and has become a community hub in the local area.
The building was home to Hackney council for 70 years, before reopening in 2018 under the care of serial pub entrepreneur, Marc Francis-Baum and with the support of British chef and TV personality, Gizzi Erskine.
Marc is the man behind successful joints including Camden Town Brewery and Barworks. Marc saw the potential in transforming the colossal Mare Street building into something beyond just another boozer. In its new reincarnation, Mare Street Market is filled with an eclectic mix of offerings from deli and coffee shop, to the boutique florist, Rebel Rebel and even a record shop and a furniture store.
One space is left free in the market for a rotating series of pop-up shops and events to keep things fresh and ever changing, which is where Finlay London comes in. We’ve taken over the space and set up shop, offering sunglasses and spectacles.
With its high ceilings and concrete aesthetic, paired with an overflowing of plants and delicious food on offer, Mare Street Market really has to be experienced. The Finlay London pop-up shop will be open every day in May and you’ll find us next to Rebel Rebel florist.
