Cairns wears Winston Forest Green Spectacles - £135
What inspired you to be an artist?
The freedom to create and make things that can be considered my own personal view of the world.
Where do we find your artwork?
I'm currently on show at the V&A Museum, London UK, in their 'Photography Now' show. Some of my works are also on show at the Saatchi Gallery until September 17.
What is your favourite FINLAY frame?
I'm really enjoying the Chepstow frame in Marmalade at the moment. They also have green lenses which are just perfect. Not too dark and a great subtle colour tone. I also really like the rectangular retro kinda shape of the Kingsley frame.
Who or what is inspiring you at the moment?
I recently watched the documentary film 'Nam June Paik: Moon Is the Oldest TV'.His work is a constant inspiration.
Plans for the rest of the year?
I'm working with Frank Horvat's studio for a collaboration involving my work and Horvat's series on Hong Kong. This will be shown at his foundation space in Paris during Paris Photo November 2023.
Favourite shoot destination?
London, the city I was born and still live in.
FINLAY frame you would like to add to your collection?
I've sadly misplaced my Bowery ones. They are a great staple I'm looking to add back into the rotation.
