Style Guide

Which glasses suit me? Do they complement my face shape? Are they too bold?

Choosing the right style isn't always easy, but it should always be fun. The best way to find your forever frames is to try some on. You can do that in-store or online using our virtual try on feature.

Below you'll find some tips to help ensure you get it just right...

Eyewear is deeply personal. A chance to express yourself. Your frames need to compliment your character and individuality.

What is my face shape?

When choosing spectacles or sunglasses it's important to consider your face shape and what will compliment and enhance your unique facial features.

Oval - Oval faces can work with most frame styles, particularly if the lower rim of the frame is less circular.

Round - For a round face, angular frames work best. Rectangular styles add definition, while narrow frames create depth.

Square - Wearing a more rounded, panto-lens frame will soften your naturally angular dimensions.

Rectangular - A rounder, slightly more cat-eyed frame will soften the angles of the face.

What’s the right frame material?

Selecting the perfect material and colour for your spectacles is essential for both comfort and style.

Our frames are made from acetate, metal or a combination of both. Your prescription may dictate which option to go for (we’ll explain more below), but really the decision is down to one of comfort and style preference.

Acetate - We use sustainable Italian acetate from Mazzucchelli, world leaders since 1849. It's strong, lightweight and naturally hypoallergenic. Available in a vast array of beautiful colours it provides a great opportunity to express your individuality and style.

Metal - For those who prefer something more delicate. Our metal designs give an even lighter feel and come with adjustable nose pads.

If you need help, our friendly team are always on hand to offer advice, whether it's choosing the right style or deciding which prescription lenses best complement your lifestyle.

Does my prescription affect frame choice?

Your prescription can affect which lens size and shape will give you the most optimal vision and aesthetic.

A higher and more complex prescription will add thickness to the lens compared to lenses with smaller prescriptions. If you have a particularly strong prescription we recommend choosing a rounder acetate frame as it’s more optically and aesthetically accommodating.

If you have a small pupillary distance (the distance between your pupils), a more petite frame will keep your pupils sitting in the centre of the frame, exactly where you want them.
